AgriSat SN
Satellite-based crop monitoring platform for Senegal.
The problem
Monitoring crop health across large areas remains difficult and costly without accessible tools, even though satellite data already exists.
The solution
A web platform that geolocates parcels, computes vegetation indices from Sentinel-2 imagery and brings weather, an interactive map and analyses together in a single interface.
My contribution
Design and development: API architecture (NestJS 11), PostgreSQL/PostGIS data model, satellite integration (Copernicus), security (JWT, RBAC, CSRF, rate limiting) and the React interface.
Features
- Management of geolocated farms and parcels
- NDVI vegetation indices from Sentinel-2 imagery (Copernicus)
- Agricultural weather and interactive map (MapLibre GL)
- AI-assisted agronomic analysis module
- Multi-organization roles and permissions (RBAC)
- Audit trail and PostgreSQL/PostGIS migrations
Note : NDVI is an indicator / potential anomaly signal. It is in no way an agronomic diagnosis.
